Fraction investigations

Last week we were investigating the value of fractions and ordering them from smallest to largest .



"These fractions all have the same denominators . The denominator is the bottom number of a fraction". 


" I have ordered these fractions from smallest to largest by looking the numerator". 


"I have learnt that these fractions are equivalent and are both equal to a half ". 




"We have grouped these fractions by their denominator , and ordered them from smallest to largest" .


" I have ordered eighths from smallest to largest . 8/8 is equivalent to whole number and is the largest fraction here".
 

"We have completed the extension task . We had to work out how to change the fractions so they all had the same denominator and then order them". 

"We have been identifying different fractions . We have learnt about halves , quarters and whole fractions".
